Why Apple Chose Google Over OpenAI?

Apple’s multi-year agreement to integrate Google’s Gemini models into its revamped Siri offers a rare window into how one of the world’s most selective technology companies evaluates foundation models – and the criteria should matter to any enterprise weighing similar decisions.
The stakes were considerable. Apple had been publicly integrating ChatGPT into its devices since late 2024, giving OpenAI prominent positioning in the Apple Intelligence ecosystem.

Google’s Gemini win represents a shift in Apple’s AI infrastructure strategy, one that relegates OpenAI to what Parth Talsania, CEO of Equisights Research, describes as “a more supporting role, with ChatGPT remaining positioned for complex, opt-in queries rather than the default intelligence layer.”

The US Imposes 25% Tariff on Nvidia’s H200 AI Chips Headed to China

After months of rumors that the Trump administration was going to impose tariffs on semiconductors, a tariff has been announced for some chips. The tariff only applies to certain semiconductors, including the Nvidia H200 advanced AI chips set to ship to China.

President Donald Trump signed a proclamation on Wednesday that entailed a 25% tariff on advanced AI semiconductors that have been produced outside the U.S. and then pass through the U.S. before being exported to customers in other countries.

A Guide to Fine-Tuning FunctionGemma

In the world of Agentic AI, the ability to call tools is what translates natural language into executable software actions. Last month, we released FunctionGemma, a specialized version of our Gemma 3 270M model explicitly fine-tuned for function calling. It is designed for developers building fast and cost-effective agents that translate natural language into executable API actions.

Specific applications often require specialist models. In this post, we demonstrate how to fine-tune FunctionGemma to handle tool selection ambiguity: when a model must choose between one or more seemingly similar functions to call. We also introduce the "FunctionGemma Tuning Lab", a demo tool that makes this process accessible without writing a single line of training code.

AI Video Startup, Higgsfield, Founded by Ex-Snap Exec, Lands $1.3B Valuation

Through an extension to its previous $50 million Series A round that closed in September, AI video generation startup Higgsfield has sold another $80 million worth of stock, bringing its total Series A to $130 million. The company says it has now hit a $1.3 billion valuation.

Higgsfield offers a tool that allows consumers, creators, and social media teams to create and edit AI-generated videos. The company was founded by Alex Mashrabov, former head of Generative AI at Snap, who landed at the company after it bought his previous startup, AI Factory, in 2020 for $166 million. Mashrabov was a co-founder of AI Factory.

🚀 Angular

Your AI is Coding Angular Wrong!

If you are using AI to write Angular code in 2026, you are probably doing it wrong. 🚫

LLMs like Gemini 3 and Claude Opus are amazing, but they are trained on old data. They don't know about Angular 21, the new Angular Aria accessibility primitives, or how Tailwind CSS 4 actually works. They hallucinate, they use old syntax, and they break your build.

In this video, I’m showing you the Angular CLI MCP Server. This is the missing link that connects your AI directly to the latest documentation and best practices. We are going to set this up inside Google Antigravity (the next-gen IDE) and watch how it transforms a broken, hallucinated mess into a perfect, production-ready app using Signals and OnPush change detection. 🚀

Everyone Says “React Dominates” — Here’s Why Angular’s 2025 Innovations Quietly Change the Game

Hey, let’s chat about Angular 21 for a sec — because while React’s been the cool kid for whipping up quick prototypes (you know, that side project that never dies), Angular’s latest drop in late 2025 feels like the enterprise hero finally stepping into the ring.

I remember wrestling with Zone.js on a massive dashboard app a couple years back — constant change detection headaches, bundles ballooning like bad holiday weight. Angular 21? It yeets Zone.js out the door by default, going fully zoneless with signals that make your app predictably snappy and 30KB leaner. No more browser hacks or debug nightmares. Read more!

Mastering Angular Signals: What Every Developer Needs to Know

Hey everyone, Muhammad Ahsan Ayaz here, a Google Acknowledge expert in Angular and AI. This video covers my journey and my book, 'Mastering Angular Signals,' which shares essential insights into modern "angular signals." I discuss the book's success and contributions to the developer ecosystem, focusing on "angular 21 tutorial" and "angular development" best practices. My work in "angular 21" and signals has been widely recognized, helping many developers master "angular features." In fact, even if you're on "angular 19", or "angular 20", the book is for you.

It covers the following Angular topics:

  • Signals
  • Effects
  • LinkedSignal
  • Resource
  • HttpResource
  • ViewChild, ViewChildren, QueryChild, QueryChildren
  • and more...

Why Developers Don't Get Interview Calls (Fix Your Portfolio)

Are you a skilled developer with clean code but recruiters aren't calling? The problem isn't your technical abilities—it's how you're presenting yourself.

Building Smart Web AI Agents with MCP, LangGraph & FastAPI

Artificial Intelligence is rapidly shifting from monolithic models answering isolated prompts to agent-centric systems — applications where autonomous components (agents) reason, act, and collaborate to solve user goals. In this demo project, we explore this next frontier using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), FastAPI, and other modern Python tools.

This article explains the why, what, and how of the Agents MCP Demo project, and gives an approachable path for building your own agent-driven applications. This project is not just code, but rather an educational scaffold you can build real agent applications on. Read more!

Under the Hood: Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP)

The Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) is an open-source standard designed to power the next generation of agentic commerce. By establishing a common language and functional primitives, UCP enables seamless commerce journeys between consumer surfaces, businesses, and payment providers. It is built to work with existing retail infrastructure, and is compatible with Agent Payments Protocol (AP2) to provide secure agentic payments support. It also provides businesses flexible ways to integrate via APIs, Agent2Agent (A2A), and the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

UCP is developed by Google in collaboration with industry leaders including Shopify, Etsy, Wayfair, Target, and Walmart endorsed by over 20 global partners across the ecosystem like Adyen, American Express, Best Buy, Flipkart, Macy's Inc, Mastercard, Stripe, The Home Depot, Visa, Zalando and many more.

💡 Bottom Line Up Front

The key takeaway from this digest is that developers can no longer rely on generic tools, outdated AI knowledge, or surface-level framework comparisons. From AI models that require domain-specific fine-tuning (such as FunctionGemma) to Angular’s shift toward zoneless, signal-driven architectures, the industry is rewarding precision, specialization, and up-to-date technical context.

At the same time, hiring signals, portfolio visibility, and agent-based system design are becoming as important as coding proficiency itself. Developers who adapt to these changes—by aligning with modern tooling, current framework capabilities, and agent-first architectures—will be better positioned in both technical impact and career growth.
