Before we go into AI, Angular & Web, we have some personal news to share from Ahsan 🙂

Got awarded by Google at the GDE Summit 2025 (Berlin)

Google acknowledged my efforts for creating content, helping over 300,000 developers learn Angular from scratch, giving me the title:

"The most prominent, tireless YouTube educator".

While I don't prefer babbling about myself, this is huge! And this show we're pushing hard, and going in the right direction. The efforts are being noticed, appreciated, and this motivates me even more to go above and beyond in helping out fresh developers in their journeys.

You can read the post on LinkedIn where I first announced it:

I just got awarded by Google at the GDE Summit! | Muhammad Ahsan Ayaz
I just got awarded by Google at the GDE Summit! And I had no idea about it… Google just awarded me via their GDE program for my contributions in creating educational content. Which I created both in English and Urdu for the past year. Especially the Angular Crash course in 90 minutes which has over 300,000 views, hundreds of great comments, and thousands of developers trained! And being awarded in front of 300+ brilliant minds, who are also GDEs (Google Developer Experts), was quite overwhelming. Alhamdulillah. In reflection, I can certainly say that when the focus is more on the process (excellence) rather than the result (perfection), positive results are almost imminent. I want to specifically thank Monika Janota & Victoria Toney-Robinson 💫 for not letting the efforts go unnoticed, and for providing opportunities wherever possible. Thank you! Continuing on providing value with Angular, check out my new book which is available on Amazon now: https://lnkd.in/dMiEKaQH And this is my YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/dBYe5jSc Share to help spread the word! #gde #gdesummit #Berlin #google #awarded #educator #angular | 61 comments on LinkedIn

Tracing & Fixing Emergent Misalignment

OpenAI's researchers identified an internal activation pattern linked to misaligned personas in language models and showed it can be detected and dampened through targeted retraining, hinting at an early‐warning system for alignment drift.

The results in the given article, suggest that language models can represent a variety of personas, including a misaligned persona, presumably as a result of training on diverse internet text. They identified a pattern in the model’s internal activations corresponding to this misaligned persona.

When they fine-tune on datasets of incorrect answers in narrow domains, that amplifies this pattern, leading to generalized misalignment. When they fine-tune on datasets of correct answers, it suppresses this pattern leading to re-alignment of an emergently misaligned model. Read more

Meta targets former GitHub CEO Nat Friedman to boost its AI research efforts

Meta Platforms Inc. is reportedly looking to expand its artificial intelligence team with yet another high-profile tech industry luminary: former GitHub Chief Executive Nat Friedman. The parent company of Facebook is also said to be angling to bring aboard Daniel Gross, who is Friedman’s partner in the AI-focused venture capital fund NFDG.

The discussions were first reported by The Information, which cites anonymous sources familiar with the matter as saying Meta also wants to purchase a stake in the investment firm, which has backed a number of well-known AI startups.

Get it FREE: My New Book, “Mastering Angular Signals,” is Free for 5 Days!
Hey everyone, I’m incredibly excited to announce that to celebrate its launch, my brand-new book, “Mastering Angular Signals,” will be available for FREE (the e-book version) for a very limited time! This isn’t just another book; it’s the culmination of countless hours spent working with Angular’s new reactivity model, building

The time has come! As you've been following Angular's journey, you understand already how crucial Angular Signals, and Signal APIs are. Understanding them to their core is an absolute necessity if you want to work on complex Angular apps. And it is not just about writing code, it is about thinking in the reactive paradigm and being able to test your code.

Ahsan's new book, "Mastering Angular Signals" addresses this core concept. He not only talk about the basics, but go into some advanced use cases, practical code examples, and of course, testing strategies.

Angular Signals and New Features and Improvements in Angular 20

One of the most significant innovations in the Angular ecosystem in recent years is undoubtedly the concept of Angular Signals. Introduced in Angular 16, “signals” have been further enhanced with Angular 20, ushering in a new era in the field of reactive programming. In this article, I will do my best to explain what Angular Signals are, the new capabilities introduced in Angular 20, and how they are used in real-world projects

Signals are a reactive primitive designed to track changing state in your application and automatically update the parts of the UI that depend on it when changes occur. They provide a more precise and efficient change detection mechanism.

The Component Dev Kit of Angular

The @angular/cdk refers to the Angular Component Dev Kit (CDK), a collection of tools and utilities for building UI components in Angular applications. It provides a set of behavior primitives and foundational services that are unopinionated about their presentation, meaning they don't include any specific styling like Material Design.

The CDK serves as a base layer of well-tested functionality upon which developers can build their own custom components with unique styling. It includes modules for various common application features and UI patterns, such as:

  • Accessibility (A11y): Utilities for improving the accessibility of components, including focus management and screen reader support.
  • Drag and Drop: Functionality for creating interactive drag-and-drop interfaces with features like sorting, transferring items, and custom previews.
  • Overlay: Tools for dynamically displaying floating content, such as dialogs, tooltips, and pop-ups, with flexible positioning options.
  • Scrolling: Utilities for managing scroll events and implementing virtual scrolling for large lists.
  • Table: A configurable component for displaying tabular data, including features like sorting and trackBy for performance optimization.
  • Tree: Directives and components for building hierarchical content as expandable trees.
